Tammie Edwards

Tammy Smith Edwards, 55, of Amory, Mississippi, passed away on September 27, 2026.

Tammy was born on December 9, 1970, in Monroe County, Mississippi. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose greatest legacy will be the family she leaves behind.

Tammy’s life was centered around the people she loved. She will be remembered by her family for the memories they shared, the years they spent together, and the lasting place she will always hold in their hearts. Though her time on earth has come to an end, the love of a mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister never truly leaves those who were blessed to know her.

Tammy is survived by her children, Matthew (Brittni) Edwards and Jeremy (Desiree) Edwards; a host of grandchildren; her mother, Betty L. Smith; brothers, Dewayne Taylor, Randy Smith, and Ronnie Smith; cousins, Melinda Pickle, Louise Gregory, and Lisa Towery; and aunts, Betty Herring, Carol McNeese, and Pam Berry, along with other family members and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Smith, and her brother, Kenny Taylor.

Tammy will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, and the many people who shared a part of her life.

Rest peacefully, Tammy. You will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
