T. L. Webb

Amory— T.L. Webb, 79, entered the heavenly gates on Friday, October 26, 2018. Born on December 14, 1938 in Lee County, AR, he was a son of Charlie Lee and Mary Ann Moton Webb.

T.L. attended schools in Gattman and Greenwood Springs. He worked as a pants presser for Coy Glenn Manufacturing until he retired in 1995. He also owned and operated Gattman Fish Ponds for over 20 years. He took great pride in those pay-to-fish catfish ponds, which brought in people from all over the country. He was a faithful member of DePriest Chapel Free Will Baptist Church for over 40 years. T.L. married the love of his life, Virginia, or as he called her, “Ve-kil” on April 10, 1959, and together they raised a close-knit family.

T.L. enjoyed spending time at home with his family, reminiscing on old times, and working in his garden. His closest friends included Phillip Wise, Johnny and Jimmy Northington, Steve Wileman, Dillard Harris, Carl Fuller, Thomas Fulmer, and Yuell Cantrell. In his free time, he liked to play pool and go fishing. He especially loved seeing his grandbabies. T.L. would often read his bible and attend church services no matter the denomination. He lived his life for the Lord and his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in Heaven. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Gilmore Memorial Hospital and Legacy Hospice for their loving hearts and wonderful care of T. L.

T.L. is survived by his daughter, Donna Lynn Wileman (Steve), Amory; grandchildren, Tracy Nethery, Christy Smith, Felecia Estes, Tyler Dabbs, Keri Lann, Austin Wileman; great-grandchildren, Kenzie Nethery, Hayden Nethery, Lexie Frost, Teri Frost, Dawson Frost, Josh and Kayla Estes, Shooter Lann, Koda Dabbs, J.R. Lann, Miley Dabbs, Lennox Nethery and Hazel Nethery; several great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary “Abie” Wise, Gattman; and special friends, Dr. Joe Bailey, Dr. Woodrow Brand.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Virginia Wise Webb, son, Terry Lynn Webb, and numerous brothers and sisters.
