Sydnie Faye Chamblee, a beloved member of her community, was born on July 29, 1941, in Monroe County. She gently passed away on November 13, 2025, at her residence, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Sydnie spent her career as a dedicated bookkeeper for Chamblee Pest Control & Fence company, known for her meticulous nature and unwavering commitment. She worked at Renasant Bank, previously, Bank of Amory and Peoples Bank as a Teller. Those who had the pleasure of working with her admired her professionalism and her warm ability to connect with customers.
Education was important to Sydnie, and she proudly graduated from Tremont High School and later pursued further studies at IJC. This commitment to learning reflected her belief in growth and nurturing one's potential.
Sydnie wore many hats throughout her life, but her roles as a mother, sister, and friend shone the brightest. She was married to the love of her life, Joe Chamblee, on June 18, 1962, and together they built a beautiful family. She is survived by her loving son, Brien Chamblee (Debbie), a dear sister, Betty Leech, and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
Sydnie's faith was the guiding light of her life. She was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church, where she found joy in serving others and worshiping alongside her cherished community. Her faith was intertwined with her proudest accomplishments, her family and her deep spiritual commitment.
She had a zest for life, with hobbies that brought her joy and laughter. Sydnie relished listening to gospel music, cheering on her favorite NBA basketball teams, and enjoying gameshows, where her quick wit and laughter illuminated many moments with friends and family.
Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled. Her dear friends, including Randy and Missy Minor, Mary Riddle, and Kam and Caroline Otey, will always treasure the warmth and support she offered, standing by their sides through life's journey.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Lifeline Companions, for their loving care during Sydnie’s difficult time, especially to caregivers Sandi Stevens, Tricia Cunningham, and Rosemary Byram, whose compassion and support made the journey just a bit more bearable. Special thanks to Legacy Hospice.
A visitation celebrating Sydnie's life will be held on November 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS. A private graveside service will be held.
Memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, PO Box 418, Smithville, MS 38870.
Though she is no longer physically present, the love and kindness of Sydnie Faye Chamblee will forever echo in the hearts of those she dearly touched.
