Sheron Outlaw Parten, born on January 1, 1944, in Aberdeen, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, in Hatley, Mississippi. Sheron, a devoted wife and a loving mother, dedicated her life to family and was fiercely proud of her role as a matriarch.
For 16 years, she contributed her talents to Mississippi Valley Gas before making the significant move to Texas, where she resided for 38 years. Throughout her life, Sheron was known for her unwavering love and commitment to her family. Her proudest accomplishments were being a mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she took joy in nurturing those closest to her. Her grandchildren have fond memories of traveling to their house, going to the park, riding their bikes, and playing outside. Her great-grandchildren have fond memories of time spent at Maw Maw and Paw Paw’s house.
Sheron leaves behind her beloved husband, Charles Parten, with whom she shared nearly 50 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Wright of Port Arthur, Texas, and her son, Joel Wright of Hatley, Mississippi. Her legacy continues through her three grandchildren, Ashlyn (Mina) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Alix Wright (Kelsi) and Austin Wright (Lesley), both of Hatley, as well as her five great-grandchildren, Ivey, Parker, Bryson, Henley, and Pace.
Sheron was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas and Daisy Outlaw, as well as her five brothers—Lyndon, Joel, Milton, Merritt, and Larry Outlaw—and her two sisters, Dorothy Outlaw Bolding Pruitt and Barbara Outlaw Cook. She was the last surviving child of her family, leaving behind a rich legacy of love that will be remembered by all those who had the privilege to know her.
Visitation will be held at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, on November 28, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen, Mississippi, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Sheron Outlaw Parten’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family will always be cherished and remembered by her loved ones.
