Sharri Carmelo James Pace, passed away on April 20, 2026, in her hometown of Amory, Mississippi. Born on September 12, 1967, to Wesley and Patricia Barrett James, Sharri lived a life marked by love, faith, and deep devotion to her family and community.

Sharri worked as a press operator at Monroe Trouser where her dedication and work ethic were well-regarded. Beyond her career, she was a woman of warm spirit and generous heart, known for her loving and open nature. She deeply loved the Lord and often spoke of her hope of being reunited with Him and her dear mother. Sharri’s had a special affinity for animals, particularly cats, whom she cherished dearly. Her joy extended into singing, gardening, and tending to flowers, pursuits that reflected her nurturing personality. She also enjoyed playing BINGO and found delight in visiting yard sales, activities that brought her simple but genuine happiness.

Family was the cornerstone of Sharri’s life and through the years, she had made many memories with her husband Mark. Since childhood they had walked life together. Sharri was profoundly proud of her children, Andrew James and Meagan Thompson, along with Meagan’s spouse, Danny. Her pride and joy extended to her cherished grandchildren Kylie James, Brayden James, Serenity Sanders, and Isabella Bateman, each one a testament to her loving legacy. Sharri also remained close with her siblings, her brothers Kelvin James and Preston James, and her sister Chekeetta Brown. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Gary James, whose memories she held close to her heart.

Sharri formed treasured friendships throughout her life. Special friends Ashley Taylor and Candy Allred were a source of laughter, companionship, and heartfelt conversation, reflecting the openness and warmth that others found so endearing in her presence.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, followed by a 2:00 pm funeral service officiated by Dr. Allen Simpson. Both events will take place at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, located at 500 3rd Avenue South, Amory, MS.

Sharri Pace leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and kindness. Her family, friends, and all who knew her will remember her as a woman of steadfast spirit, whose laugh and lightness of will be dearly missed. In honoring her memory, may we all take comfort in the promise of reunion and the enduring bonds of love she so deeply treasured.
