Wren-Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” Harrison, 74, of Wren, passed away on April 9, 2026. Born on July 27, 1951, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Bonnie and Herman Harrison. As a child, Ronnie returned with his family to Amory, where he grew up and graduated from Amory High School in 1970.
In 1971, Ronnie married the love of his life, Susan Williams, and together they built a life and home in Wren, surrounded by family, friends, and a community he cherished. He was a member of Central Grove Baptist Church.
Ronnie had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures-RV camping, square dancing, and the friendships that came along with it. He never met a stranger, and his easygoing nature, warm smile, and gift of conversation made everyone feel at ease. Many afternoons, one could find him at BAM in Nettleton, sharing stories and laughter with “the guys,” or stopping by Pender Auto Parts, another of his favorite gathering spots.
Before retiring, Ronnie worked as the Monroe County Shopper, owned by Star Printing, a job he truly loved. He had a special way of connecting with people and looked forward to seeing his customers each day-many of whom became lasting friends.
Visitation will be held from 5p-7p, Monday, April 13, at EE Pickle Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 10:30 am at EE Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory, with Bro. Robert Moore and Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. Burial will follow at Haughton Memorial Park.
Ronnie is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Susan; his son, Matthew Harrison (Lauren) of Nashville, Tennessee; his brother, Cayce Harrison (Nancy) of Russellville, Alabama; and his cherished granddaughter, Harper Harrison of Nashville, Tennessee, who was the light of his life and brought him great joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Marty Harrison of Tupelo.
Pallbearers will be Alan Haney, Dean Mann, Jeff Boozer, Jimmy Williams, Kenneth Archer, Larry Shelton, Paul Hicks and Richard Milstead.
Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Thompson, Travis Robertson and Ricky Ciarloni.
