Amory – Ralph Trent Butler, 74, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Amory, MS. He was born on May 15, 1950 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to the late Robert Butler and Martha Ilene Siverly Butler.

Ralph grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from high school. He worked for many years in the construction industry, building homes and later he obtained his Captains license as he loved being on the water boating. As one would guess, his career turned towards his interests and he became a salesman for Ranger Boats. He was passionate about boating and he enjoyed the thrill of being the captain on a ship with the wide open sea in front of him. 

He was blessed by God with two children and grandchildren. A man with dedication and loyalty, he was a member of Masonic Lodge for many years. He built several lasting friendships with his fellow Masons and he obtained his Master Mason status after many years of studying. 

He was stubborn at times and straightforward with you about every and anything. He loved cats and his favorite pet was “Tobby”. He enjoyed old time rock and roll and just hanging out with family and friends. He would often tell you “Sometimes this is what you get …it is what it is.” 

Ralph will be missed by his family and friends. They will cherish all the wonderful memories made through the years.

He is survived by his children, Scott Simonson, Amory and Colleen Barribeau, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Ashley Barribeau and Kyle Barribeau; Lexi Simonson. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service with Masonic Rites will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 4:00 pm at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, MS with Bro. Jeff Martin and Bro. Scott Simonson officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the service hour at 4:00 pm at the funeral home in Amory.
