Wren - Pascal Demathieu, 70, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born on January 28, 1953, in Paris, France to the late Jacques and Genevieve Thibault Demathieu.
He graduated from a high school and a university in France, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a member of a tank battalion in the French Army. He later worked on a farm in Texas, then as a supervisor in the receiving leather department for Action and Lane Industries for 25 years, while being recognized for his exemplary work. He enjoyed listening to Jazz and Country music. His favorite hobbies included upkeeping of his yard, wine making, watching soccer & rugby and the Tour de France. He was a kind and caring person and would help anybody. He also loved to aggravate his stepdaughters and loved his kids and grandkids very much. His family, wife, and grandchildren were most important to him, as were his dogs and upkeeping his yard until he started having health issues later in life. Pascal attended Central Grove Baptist Church, and Tony Capps, Gerald Worthey, & Ronnie Gadd were his closest friends. One of his favorite sayings was: " Let me talk to somebody with some sense.".
He was survived by his two daughters, Debbie Tidwell (Roger) and Lisa Lyle (Bill), all of Amory; two sons, David Nicholson (Michelle) of Alexandria, AL and Marty Nicholson (Gladys) of Hamilton; one brother, Patrick Demathieu of Paris, France; ten grandchildren, Kerri Wiliams (Phillip), Casey Stanford (John), Lanie Richardson (Nick), Cassy Morris (Heath), Jake Nicholson, Krystal Nicholson, Dilan Nicholson (Marietta), Matt Lyle (Nikki), Zach Lyle (Ina), Aleah Lyle, a host of great grand-children and great great-grand-children and a stepsister, Edda Coradazzi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Stafford Demathieu.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 1:00 p. m. at Masonic Cemetery in Amory with Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or LeBonheur Hospital in Memphis, TN.
