Amory — Michael “Mike” Tubb Ford, 66, entered his heavenly home on July 3, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 15, 1953, in Amory, MS he was a son to Rubel Drexel Ford and Lucy Bernice Tubb Ford.

Mike graduated with the Amory High School Class of 1971. He worked for Amory Garment as a Plant Manager as well as for Block Corporation where he was the Vice President of Operations. He was a good provider for his family and during his lifetime he was blessed by God with two loving wives and two sons. A true Christian man, he was an active member of First Baptist Church, Amory where he was an ordained Deacon. He believed in helping spread God’s word so he was an active member of the Gideons. He also loved the fellowship he enjoyed with his Sunday School Class members.

He was a wonderful father, brother, friend and grandfather. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, working in the yard, and taking vacations in the Great Smokey Mountains. He had his own greenhouse where he enjoyed growing beautiful things, including flowers and plants. Mike loved to restore old cars and he competed in many car shows. He often would take his Camaro or 64 Impala Convertible for a cruise to just take in the scenery. He also enjoyed sitting with his precious wife while he watched his son play sports.

Over the years, Mike made many friends and he will be dearly missed by all. His family is at peace, as they know that he is with his Savior. His legacy of love and friendship will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Mike is survived by his wife, Cathy Ford, Becker; sons, Cory Ford, Amory, Rob Ford, Becker; grandchildren, Deanna Ford Wright, Noah Ford Wright, Madison Ford; sister, Pam Ford Caldwell (Bill), Amory; nieces and nephews, Stan Caldwell (Amber), Franklin, TN, Abby Katherine Blahnik (Andrew), Brentwood; special friends, The Woods family, The Bishop family, Dr. Woody and Mindy Brand, and R.W. & Jane Cantrell.
