Margie Ann Mills Hill, 90, of Amory, Mississippi, went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Margie was born the night of “The Tupelo Tornado”, April 6, 1936, in Itawamba County, MS, to Millard and Sybil Mills. Margie married the love of her life, Coy Hill, on June 26, 1954. She dedicated her life to serving her family, her church, and her community. Margie was a talented artist, loving mother and grandmother, and dedicated pastor’s wife. She was also well known for her famous “Marge’s Apple Fritters” at the Amory Railroad Festival.
Margie will always be remembered for her funny sense of humor, quick wit, love of adventure, and her pranks. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Coy Hill; her parents, Millard Mills and Sybil Johnson Mills; her brother, Charles Mills; her sisters, Eldred Jones, Ruby Dickerson, and Judy Bland; and her great-grandson, Jaxson Blaylock.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Blaylock (Steve), Andrea Blaylock (Stan), and Coy Hill, II (Christine); her grandchildren, Amanda Culbertson (Mark), Emily Gatlin (Joel), Craig Blaylock (Lanita), Jimmy Blaylock, Stanton Blaylock (Raven), Andrew Blaylock (Amber), Hillary Hutto (Ryan), Daleana Mapp (Bruce), Coy Hill, III (Taylor); 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; brother Donald Mills (Peggy); and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Bethel Apostolic Church, Amory, MS, on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:30am until 12:00pm.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Bethel Apostolic Church, Amory, MS, with Rev. Steve Blaylock and Rev. Stan Blaylock officiating. There will be a private family burial with her grandsons serving as Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to msupci.com, then selecting “Historical Society” under the giving menu.
