Linda "Ree" Marie Hunsucker Thomas, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, passed away on December 11, 2025, at her residence. Born on November 8, 2001, in Amory, Ree filled the world around her with joy and love during her short yet impactful life.
Ree was a proud graduate of Amory High School, where she shined as a vibrant member of the school band, an accomplishment that brought her immense joy and pride. Her love for music didn't end there; it echoed throughout her life, whether she was singing commercials or simply sharing her beautiful voice with those she loved. Her contagious smile and adventurous spirit made every moment spent with her a treasure to behold. She had an unwavering desire to try new things and embrace life to the fullest.
She shared a deep bond with her husband, Dylan Thomas, being a perfect partner for three unforgettable years filled with laughter, love, and adventures. Their relationship was a testament to true companionship, grounded in shared joys and cherished memories. Dylan, along with her sisters, Mandi Elam (Josh) and Stacie Shinault (Josh), were a vital part of her life, offering love and support that enriched her days.
Ree found solace and happiness in simple pleasures—watching anime with her treasured friends Natalie Criddle and Makenna Wise, reading books, and cultivating a love for nature that was reflected in her adoration for bluebells and lotus flowers. Each bloom reminded her of life’s beauty, and she carried that beauty into every interaction, leaving an indelible impact on all who knew her.
Ree will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, especially by her family and friends who continue to carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Eastman Hunsucker, and her beloved grandparents, whose spirits she will join in eternity.
As we remember Linda "Ree" Marie Thomas, we celebrate the vibrant, adventurous, and loving spirit she was. Her legacy will live on in the laughter she inspired, the music she shared, and the countless lives she touched along the way.
