Kraig Birchfield

Kraig Birchfield, born on November 14, 1983, passed away on August 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, friendship, and unwavering devotion to family and community.

Kraig was the beloved husband of Kelley Birchfield, and cherished son of Betty Birchfield. He is survived by Kelley and Betty, along with his in laws Kevin and Cindy Whitsett, who supported him and his family with kindness and love. Kraig now rejoins those dearest to him who have gone before: his father Ken Birchfield, uncle Glenn Birchfield, grandparents George and Alma Birchfield, grandparents Orville and Hattie Berry, and infant brother Gregory Kane.

Kraig’s life was shaped early by his education, first at Daniel Boone High School in Gray, Tennessee, and then at Cincinnati Christian University. His faith flourished in his role as Minister at churches in Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and most recently, North Boulevard Christian Church in Amory, Mississippi—a calling that he considered his proudest accomplishment. Kraig’s self-assured spirit and his self-proclaimed identity as a “Jesus Freak” were evident to all who met him. His dedication to ministry inspired his congregation and extended a hand of welcome to all who sought spiritual guidance.

Kraig was deeply passionate about his interests, which brought him joy and connected him to people and places he loved. He was an enthusiast for the University of Tennessee and its athletic traditions, with a particular fondness for Peyton Manning’s legendary career. He spent many exhilarating evenings cheering on the Atlanta Braves and the Nashville Predators, sharing in the thrill of every home run and goal with friends and family.

Golf also claimed a special place in Kraig’s heart, as well as hanging out with his closest friends—Wedge, Big Dawg, Truck, R-Kay, Phat Rok, and Sikes.

Above all, Kraig Birchfield will be remembered for his steadfast faith and his desire to minister in every way he could. He lived his life with purpose, making a meaningful impact on his church, his family, and his friends. The memory of his kindness, integrity, and spirited personality will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew and loved him.

The Birchfield family and all who held Kraig dear unite in gratitude for the time they shared with him and in remembrance of a life well lived.

Memorial Services will soon be held at both the North Boulevard Christian Church, Amory, MS and Crossroads Christian Church, Gray, TN.
