Kimberly "Kim" Dawn Goldman met her Savior face to face on Saturday, November 29, 2025, and began her new life with Jesus surrounded by His eternal love.
She was born in Fairview, Oklahoma, on March 17, 1973 to Ronald “Ron” and Nancy Chadd. Kim met her husband, Todd Goldman, at North Oklahoma Junior College, where she also cheered, and the two married on August 6, 1994, in their hometown of Fairview. They shared 31 beautiful years together and God blessed them with three children, a daughter-in-law and a grandson. Her other cherished family members were her four dogs—Nova, Daisy, Rocky, and Zoe. Kim loved Jesus and through the years, with Todd by her side, they raised their children to love God. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Amory where she served in so many ways where many members were her extended family. Kim lived a life full of love, service, and joy and was strong in her faith.
She earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Central Oklahoma and she began a wonderful career in Education where she had an impact on so many young lives. A gifted and passionate educator, she taught kindergarten and first grade for 24 years. Her God given gift was to motivate and educate and through her tireless service, she earned the recognition as Teacher of the Year while she touched countless young lives. Kim was a humble educator, always pushing the children into the spotlight, despite her dedication and countless hours she spent ensuring that her children reach their full potential in school. While working, she made so many friends over the years and the way she taught and the guidance she gave helped mold many the young teacher in Monroe County.
Kim was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, and again with metastatic breast cancer in 2019. A true lady, she faced every challenge with unwavering strength and grace, never allowing the disease to dim her spirit. Even throughout treatments, she joyfully attended her children’s activities — soccer games, swim meets, golf tournaments — and served faithfully in her church and on missions, taught her students, and welcomed others into her home. For six years, she traveled to Nashville for treatment, always finding the good in the journey, bringing family and friends along, and exploring nearly every restaurant in Tennessee. She held deep affection for the many nurses and doctors who cared for her, both in Nashville and during her recent stay in Tupelo.
She loved traveling, vacationing, and spending time with family and friends, but her greatest joy was her children. She was endlessly proud of them—checking in with Aaron about medical school, sharing stories and wisdom with Micah about teaching, and being a constant friend and biggest cheerleader to Allie throughout her senior year of high school.
The surrounding community is a better place because of Kim Goldman. She touched generations through her work, love, and devotion to children. She will be missed greatly.
Kim is survived by her loving husband, Todd Goldman, Amory; her children, Aaron Goldman and his wife, Riley, Brandon; Micah Goldman, Brandon; and Allie Goldman, Amory; her grandson, Brooks, Brandon; her parents, Nancy Chadd & Mike Rainey; her siblings, Jim Chadd and his wife, Melissa, & Ben Chadd and his wife, Annie; her parents-in-laws, Danny and Ava Goldman; her sister-in-law, Tina Castor and her husband Cody.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Merle Chadd.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Amory, MS with Dr. Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park, Amory, MS with pallbearers being Ben Chadd, Jim Chadd, Paul Knox, Rodney Crouch, Clayton Dickerson, Tom Dickerson, and Larry Knox.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday at the church from 12:00 pm until the service hour at the church.
