Judy R Weaver, a cherished matriarch, age 84, passed away on May 27, 2025, at the Care Center of Aberdeen, leaving behind a legacy firmly rooted in love, family, and a spirited devotion to her community. Born on April 8, 1941, in Monroe County to the late Shell Lindsey and Marjorie Ivynell Hood. Judy dedicated her life to her family and embraced a career that spanned multiple esteemed establishments including Walmart, Jr. Food Mart, Big Star, Factory Connection, and Coker's.
A proud graduate of Itawamba High School, Judy’s education paved the way for her dynamic professional journey. Yet it was her family-oriented nature and strong-willed personality that defined her true essence. She approached life with an unwavering resolve, committed to nurturing her loved ones and creating joyous moments that would last a lifetime. Judy had an affinity for soft peppermints, popcorn, and coffee—not just as snacks, but as simple pleasures shared in the company of her beloved grandchildren. Indeed, it was her grandkids who provided her with the most profound enjoyment, bringing brightness to her days.
Judy's deep connection to her community was evidenced by her unwavering support of the Splunge Community, as well as her fondness for traveling, reading, and her devotion as a loyal Alabama fan and Nascar enthusiast. Her spirit was captured in her active participation at Splunge Baptist Church, where she formed enduring friendships and continued to inspire those around her.
Judy is survived by her loving son, Tony Weaver (Kellie); devoted daughter, Sandra Dewberry (Ken); and her cherished grandchildren, Lori Leech, Erin Krzyzkowski, Chase Weaver, Mollie Kate Andrews, and Will Andrews. She also delighted in the presence of her sister, Jewel Faulkner (Jolly) and her great-grandchildren, Luke Atarji, Deacon Krzyzkowski, and Callie Krzyzkowski, who served as a testament to her legacy.
She now joins her dearly departed parents, Shell Lindsey and Marjorie Ivynell Hood, whose love and guidance she carried throughout her life.
As we celebrate Judy R Weaver’s extraordinary life, we remember her fierce love, remarkable strength, and the profound impact she had on the lives she touched. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of many, a beacon of warmth and resilience.
We will have a celebration of life for Judy where we will receive friends and family beginning at 2:00 on Friday at Splunge Baptist Church.
