Judith Grimsley

Judith Anne Grimsley, born on September 12, 1940, in St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026. She was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Lucille O’Bryan and sister to the late Robert (Butch) O’Bryan, Elaine Blake and Marjory Henderson.

Judith was a devoted wife to Charles Allen, whom she married in 1960. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Marta (Rick) Myers, Robert (Julie) Allen, and Matthew Allen. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren – Justin (Kim) Myers, Rickey (Brook) Myers, Jarred, Zach, Noah, Robyn, Faith, Calvin and Ember, along with Lilly, Scout, Madelyn, Cohen, Jude, Wrigley and several other great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graduate with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Judith dedicated her career to retail and childcare, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, as she was an active member of the House of Prayer Tabernacle in Mattoon, Illinois, and later, Living Waters Assembly of God in Gattman, Mississippi.

Judith was passionate about reading, studying the Bible, painting, drawing and crocheting. Her warmth, creativity and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her life was a testament to love, faith and resilience.

Services will be held at Amory First Assembly of God, 521 Tschudi Road in Amory, MS, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
