Joe “Frank” Peeler, Jr. became completely healed and met his savior face to face on September 10th, 2024.
Frank was born October 18, 1947, in Amory, Mississippi to Joe Frank Peeler, Sr. and Louise Brevard Peeler. Frank grew up in Monroe County and graduated from Amory High School, Class of 1965. He then furthered his education at the University of Mississippi and received his bachelor’s degree in marketing. It was at Ole Miss he met the love of his life Cheryl Chism and after two-weeks they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They got married December 27, 1969, and spent the next 54 years making wonderful memories. They were blessed with three children, a daughter, Melanie and two sons, Joe Frank “Trey’’ and Ashley.
A man who never met a stranger, Frank was a successful entrepreneur and owned his own communication business for many years. Frank loved his Ole Miss Rebels and was an active member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and was a charter member of the Country Boys Breakfast Club. He was a Godly man who loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Amory First Global Methodist Church. He was a strong supporter of every mission of the church.
In his free time, he enjoyed working on his 64-1/2 mustang and spending time with his family. If you ask Frank what he was most proud of, he would tell you it was his marriage, his children and his grandchildren. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a good friend, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His family and friends take great comfort in knowing he is with Jesus and loved ones who have gone on before.
Frank is survived by his wife, Cheryl Chism Peeler; daughter, Melanie Harmon (Chip) of Amory; sons, Joe Frank “Trey” Peeler III of Fairhope, Alabama and Ashley Peeler (Brooke) of Amory; sister, Susan Peeler Fuller (Allen) of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Brittni Edwards (Matt) of Amory, Taylor Ferguson (Lee Michael) of Amory, Kimberly Renfro (Cody) of Amory, Sam Peeler of Scottsdale, Arizona, Ben Peeler of Oxford, and Lyla Rain Peeler of Amory; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Malaki, Phoenix, and Knoxton Edwards, Easton and Logan Ferguson, Oliver, Cohen, and Paityn Renfro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Frank Peeler Sr. and Louise (Brevard) Peeler, and great-grandson Gabriel Edwards, and other precious grandbabies.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be, Friday, September 13, 2024 at Amory First Global Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with visitation at 1 p.m. until the service hour. Brother Wesley Pepper will be officiating.
Memories and condolences may be shared with his family at EEPickleFuneralHome.com.
