Jeanie Green

February 17, 1955 — July 8, 2024

Jeanie Green

Aberdeen – Jeanie Denise Green (Stafford), 69, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 at her residence in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She was born on February 17, 1955, in Amory, Mississippi to the late James Howard Stafford and Jettie A. Clouse Stafford.

She grew up in Monroe County and attended Amory High School. She married the love of her life, Alton C. Green, and they were blessed with three daughters. She was a supportive wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother. Moreover, Jeanie was the kind of person you wanted around if there was a medical emergency. She was skilled in Emergency Management Services and helped at Itawamba Community College with their training of new EMTs. Jeanie often assisted with the final skills checks of potential graduates of the EMT program. A member of the Wren Volunteer Fire Department, Jeanie enjoyed fighting fires and responding to emergencies with like-minded people in her community.

In her downtime, she liked to listen to country music, watch crime dramas, go fishing, spend time with close friends and family, and practice her Baptist faith through journaling. Often times, she would tell her kids’ friends when they came over for supper to “eat it or wear it” as she was a proponent of wasting nothing.

Jeanie will be dearly missed, yet her family knows that she is completely healed and at peace. She will never be forgotten.

Jeanie is survived by her husband, Alton C. “A.C.” Green, Aberdeen; daughters, Daphne R. Schrock (Michael), Aberdeen, and Angela Lee Hill (Chad), Aberdeen; grandchildren, Anthony Hill (Cat), Pontotoc, Cheyenne Kelly Schrock, Aberdeen, Alex Hill (Terra), Nettleton, Megan Kayla Schrock, Jonathan Kody Schrock, and Joshua Kameron Schrock, Aberdeen; great-grandchildren, Izabella Hill, Blakely Hill, and Samuel Hill; sister, Dianne Brown (Randy), Aberdeen; brothers, Bobby “Bob” Lee Stafford (Hilda), Tupelo, and Thomas “Tom” Dale Stafford, Hatley; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, the Wren Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Kristie Heather Green; her sister, Geraldine Demathieu (Pascal); and her brother, John Stafford.
