James Walden

Amory- James Phillip Walden, 81, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Oak Tree Manor.

Phil, as he was affectionately known for his wild T-shirts, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, laughter, and hanging out in his tool shed. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and all the corny jokes we were told along the way. He took an active role in the lives of his grandchildren by teaching them how to shoot guns, can vegetables and how to forge a knife even if they were scared. He loved to spend afternoons outdoors or watching game shows with Jane, his best friend. Most importantly he taught his children how to be fiercely independent and work hard. Your girls will be forever grateful for the memories. It’s the small acts of kindness that will be missed the most. Calling Phil, you could tell him the smallest thing that happened in your day, and you would have thought you won the lottery. He was always everyone’s biggest fan. He was the number one fan of Country Boys, and you could find him there weekly.

A memorial service will be held at his home on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. Visitation will be held at his home on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
