Harvey spent his life rooted in the values and traditions that defined him. Throughout the years, he remained a steadfast presence for his family and friends, and his warmth, wisdom, and gentle humor brought comfort and strength to those around him.

Harvey is survived by a loving family whose lives are a reflection of his character and love. His son Brian Finch, son Dewayne, and daughter-in-law Nita will remember him as a caring and steady patriarch. His grandchildren—Casey Halford (Andy), Laura Simpson, Jerrod Finch (Kacie), and Brad Collums—carry forward his legacy of kindness and integrity.

Among Harvey’s greatest joys were his great-grandchildren: Ryleigh Finch, Cameron Finch, Chandler Collums, Peyton Collums, Ollie Simpson, Lola Rook Halford, and Sutton Halford. Their laughter and energy brought endless pride to his later years, and he cherished each new generation as a precious blessing.

Harvey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Finch, whose memory he held close throughout his days. He also mourned the loss of his daughter, Laura Patrice, granddaughter Jamie Finch, brother Vernon Finch, and sister Patti Jo Spencer. Though deeply missed, their spirits remained ever-present in his heart and conversations.

An integral part of Harvey’s rich and enduring relationships was his closest friend and brother-in-law, Nicky Spencer. Their friendship epitomized camaraderie and loyalty; many fond hours were spent gathered together in conversation, sharing stories and laughter that echoed Harvey’s generous and welcoming spirit.

Honoring Harvey’s wishes, a private family Celebration of Life gathering will take place at his residence in Aberdeen, MS, on a date to be determined. Here, loved ones will come together to recall the countless memories and the quiet strength Harvey provided through every season of their lives.
