Carrie Amanda Ligon passed away on July 3, 2025, at her residence in Smithville, Mississippi. She was born on April 12, 1977, to Ralph and Rebecca Majors Dill, in the town of Amory. Carrie was loved so much by those who had the privilege to know her and her legacy will live on in their memories for many years to come.

She graduated from Smithville High School. During her school years she was well known for her personality, receiving wittiest her Junior and Senior year. A member of many clubs, she was honored with the title of Football Queen her senior year, a reflection of her vibrant personality, beauty, and engaging presence. Carrie devoted years of her life to her roles as an Administrative Assistant at many places such as Pioneer Hospital and Adcomm Graphics.

Carrie was known for her beautiful voice, akin to that of an angel, delighting all who heard her sing. The diligent care she bestowed upon her home and garden, and the beautiful flowers cultivated there will never be forgotten. She relished her time with family, whether it be on a trip to the mountains, the beach, or laying out in the pool. She had a very special love for animals, especially cats, which was a big part of her everyday life.

She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed her fond memories of attending church and church camp in her youth.

Carrie's personal life radiated love and joy, particularly in her cherished role as a wife and mother. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Ligon, and their three sons: Tyler Ligon (Brooklyn) who resides in Hatley; Blake Ligon, who calls Smithville home; and Triston Ligon, who now makes his home in Clarion, Pennsylvania. Her love extended to her grandchildren: Jax Pittman, Myla Pittman, and Mac Ligon. Carrie was also survived by her cherished mother, Rebecca Majors Dill, from Amory, and her brother, Kevin Dill (Brandy), from Smithville. Additionally, she is remembered by her step-siblings Patricia Adams (Tim), Tony Dill (Felicia), and Terry Dill (Gena), as well as her uncle, Danny Majors, from Amory, and a host of nieces and nephews. Finally, her special pets, Itty Bitty Kitty, Stinky CB, Axel and Endora.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Dill, her grandparents, Dorothy and Archie Majors, her uncle, Tommy Majors, and her special pets, Azlan and Dirty Dog.

Friends and loved ones are invited to honor Carrie's memory during the Visitation on Monday, July 7, 2025, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Her celebration of her life will continue with a Funeral Service on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, officiated by Bro. Josh Awtrey, at the funeral home, beginning at 2:00 PM. with burial following in New Hope Cemetery, Hatley, MS with pallbearers being Blake Ligon, Tyler Ligon, Triston Ligon, Tony Dill, Kevin Dill and Eric Dill.

In reflecting on Carrie's life, one cannot help but smile at the legacy of love and laughter she leaves behind. Her family and friends are thankful that she is at eternal peace with God.
