Carol June Smith, 89, departed from this world on December 8, 2025, at Diversicare in Amory, Mississippi. Born on August 25, 1936, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Carol graced the lives of many with her warm spirit and unwavering kindness.
A proud graduate of Victory High School in Clarksburg, West VA, she carried the lessons of her youth throughout her life. Carol dedicated a notable chapter of her career to Lustro Plastic Manufacturing in Akron, Ohio, where her contributions were esteem-worthy and worthy of tribute.
Her personality was unmistakable; she was a woman who never met a stranger, fostering connections that enriched her life and the lives of those around her. Known for her loving and caring nature, Carol was always there for her family. Her greatest pride was raising her children, a testament to her dedication and strength as a mother.
Carol is survived by her beloved son, Charles Frye (Nancy) of Akron, OH, and her cherished daughter, Vickie Smith of Amory, MS. She also leaves behind her brother, Archie McInnes (Kitty) of Tallmadge, OH, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will undoubtedly carry her legacy forward.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles Frye and Bill Smith, as well as her parents, David Sloan and Leona Daniels McInnes. Carol was also predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Caloccia, and her two brothers, Samuel McInnes and David McInnes, all of whom hold a cherished place in her heart.
Carol found joy in simpler pleasures, often indulging in smoking cigarettes, drinking coffee, and watching television while relishing the company of her loved ones. Her life was a tapestry woven with the threads of love, laughter, and warmth, embodying a spirit that made a profound impact on all fortunate enough to know her.
A visitation will be held at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory, Mississippi, on December 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Amory Historical Cemetery, with a burial ceremony commencing at 12:00 PM.
Though Carol June Smith may no longer walk among us, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead, filled with love, strength, and enduring memories.
