*** UPDATE - GRAVESIDE SERVICE MOVED TO CHAPEL SERVICE ON FRIDAY 03/03/2023***

Amory – Carl Wayne Dove, 81, started his new life in Heaven on February 27, 2023. He was born in Detroit Alabama, on June 27, 1941, to the late Charlie Dove and Viola Markham Dove.

Carl grew up in Alabama and attended school there. He was raised in a family of Sharecroppers and they moved around Alabama a lot to be where the work was available. He understood the value of hard work and a close family. As a young man, he helped his family in the field and later Carl made his family proud by serving for a couple years in the United States Army. He worked at Walker’s Manufacturing in Aberdeen for over 33 years. He then went to work at Tecumseh in Tupelo where he worked an additional 6 years.

He married the love of his life, Judy Faye Pearson Dove on May 1, 1976. Together they were blessed with a daughter. Carl was a humble and loving husband and father. He loved the Lord and was faithful in reading his Bible daily. He strived to be the best Godly example for both his family and friends. Carl was a devoted and faithful member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Hatley, MS. He loved to spend time with his family and loved ones.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and simply enjoying the great outdoors especially in the Mountains. When he was younger he loved to go fishing in his boat. He spent many quiet peaceful hours out on the lake, soaking in the tranquil moments. Carl most of all cherished the time he spent with his family and wife. He was kind to animals and he loved his dog very much. He liked to listen to Gospel, some old country music and bluegrass. Some of his close friends were his brother-in-law, Steve Pearson, with whom he would hunt and fish together. Above all, he treasured the relationships he had with his family and friends.

Carl's quiet loving presence will be missed yet the memories will live on in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Lester (James), Steens; sisters, Ellis Reeves (Ray), Bartahatchie, and JoAnn Tubbs (Doyle), Amory; nieces, Tammy Martin (Tracy), Amory, and their son, Dawson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his best friend, his wife, Judy, and his brother, Charles Dove.
