Bruce Gray

Amory – Kevin ”Bruce” Gray, 64, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at his residence in Amory, MS. He was born on September 8, 1958, in Joliet, Illinois to Clyde Gray and the late Virginia Ann Tubb Gray.

Bruce spent the first couple years of his life in Illinois and moved with his family to Monroe, County where he graduated from Hatley High School. He had a great work ethic and worked for over 25 years as a Butcher at various businesses. At one point in his career, he worked for himself, processing deer meat in Amory. Bruce also operated a fork lift for Gilmore Puckett Industries in Amory.

Bruce married the love of his life, Audrey Elaine Marshall on August 4, 2006. God blessed him with three daughters, and several grandchildren. He was a Christian and let the Lord guide his life. In addition to being a great provider, he was a loving person who was very honest. Bruce enjoyed picking on people and getting a good laugh whenever possible. Besides his wife, his brother-in-law, Bobby and he were close friends.

Whenever time permitted, Bruce enjoyed playing his guitar, playing pool, and just spoiling his pets. He liked listening to 70’s rock music as well as Christian music. Talented musically, Bruce wrote some Christian songs, of which one was taken to Nashville and produced, reaching #12 on the music charts. He was proud of the talent God gave him and he always tried to use it to glorify God.

Although his family will miss his presence, they know that he is in the awesome presence of the Savior. He will never be forgotten and forever loved.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Audrey Elaine Gray (Marshall), Amory; father, Clyde Gray (Bea), Amory; daughters, Lesley Smith (Adam), Amory, Lacy Simmons, Starkville, Brianna Gray, Amory; grandchildren, Trevan, Mayes, Sipsey, Wylder, Swayse, and Marigold; brothers, Ronnie Gray, Amory, and Terry Gray (Marissa), Amory.
