With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Billie Joyce Sullivan, 96, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and cherished friend. She was the heart of her family and a source of unconditional love to everyone blessed to know her.
She was a devoted mother whose love knew no limits. As a grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, she treasured every generation of her family. Her love extended far beyond those related by blood—she welcomed and cared for countless children as if they were her own, making everyone feel valued, accepted, and deeply loved.
Her faith was the foundation of her life. While living in Okolona, Mississippi, she faithfully served at First Baptist Church, where she dedicated many years to working in the nursery. Through her gentle hands, warm heart, and loving spirit, she cared for generations of children, leaving a lasting impact on countless families. Many who grew up in the church were first welcomed into the world of faith through her loving care. After moving to Amory, Mississippi, she became a devoted member of Trace Road Baptist Church, where she continued to live out her faith and love for others.
She was known for her beautiful smile that could brighten any room and for the joy she carried wherever she went. She loved life, enjoyed being with family and friends, and found happiness wherever she was. Her laughter, kindness, and positive spirit made every place feel a little warmer.
She found great joy working in her yard, where her love of flowers—especially Irises—was evident in every bloom. Her garden reflected the same beauty, care, and patience that she shared so generously with others.
More than anything, she will be remembered for loving unconditionally. If you knew her, you knew you were loved. Her legacy is one of faith, compassion, joy, and a heart that always had room for one more person.
She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and strive to carry forward the love, grace, and kindness she so freely gave. Though she will be deeply missed, her beautiful smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Billie is survived by sons, Monte Sullivan (Margie) and Tim Sullivan (Tracy); daughters, Anita McCrieght (Ken) and Kay Brock; grandchildren, Penny Mathis, Misty McFarling (Ken), Tim McCrieght (Stephanie), Joey McCrieght (Bridgett), Bill Brock (Linda), Chad Sullivan, Mitch Sullivan (Lori), Michael Joyner, Angie White (Anthony), Caroline Alford (Jerritt); twenty great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
