Velda Anita “Nita” Ricketts

With profound sadness, we announce that Nita Ricketts, 97, beloved aunt and sister, passed away while visiting family in Louisiana.

Born in Amory, Mississippi to Hoffman and Velda Tubb, Nita remained a longtime resident. She loved Amory, Mississippi with all her heart, never left for long, and even her high school photo album bears the words “Let all the world know that I am a lover”. One of her favorite pastimes was reading and she will forever be known to friends and family as “a reader of many books”.

At her request, a small service was held in honor of her extraordinary life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to an animal charity or veteran’s organization as she did this each year. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. God bless you, beloved aunt. You are now dancing once again in the arms of your late husband.
