Since 1925, with the help of four generations of the Pickle Family, and our dedicated loyal staff, we have been honored to serve our community.  E. E. Pickle Funeral Home has set the standards for superior funeral service in our community. 

E. E. Pickle Funeral home has two (2) locations in North East Mississippi: Amory and Smithville. Our staff has taught, mentored, and helped license funeral directors whom have gone on to set up their own funeral homes and/or become professors in the industry.   • Tonya Pickle

    Tonya Pickle, President

    Tonya is the wife of the late Warren Pickle, the third generation Pickle who served Amory and the surrounding community. She graduated from Virginia High School in Bristol, Virginia. Then she graduated from Jefferson Hospital School Of Nursing in Roanoke Virginia. Later, Tonya received her Graduate Degree from Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX in Post Graduate Operating Room Nursing and Administration. She served as the Head Nurse in the Operating Room for Cardiac, Kidney and Neuro Surgeries. Tonya worked at Gilmore Memorial Hospital and then at the Monroe County Health Department for over 25 years. Tonya's presence at the funeral home ensures that the great standards of care are carried on in the community.

  • Robert Guy Pickle

    Robert Guy Pickle, Manager & Funeral Director/Embalmer

    Robert was born and raised in Amory. He is the fourth generation of the Pickle Family serving in the funeral industry. He started working under his father, Warren Pickle, and grandfather, Guy Pickle, when he was 12 years old. Robert received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ole Miss and later graduated top in his class at Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a licensed Funeral Director and licensed Embalmer in both Mississippi and Tennessee. He is married to Diane Fallin Pickle and they have two children and three foster children. He enjoys playing golf in his downtime and just spending time with family and friends.

  • Kirk Lindsey

    Kirk Lindsey, Funeral Director/Accounts Manager

    Kirk is from Nettleton, Mississippi and has worked in the funeral industry for over 40 years. He has his funeral director license as well as his license to sell Insurance in the State of Mississippi. He grew up in a family involved in funeral service and his passion is serving families in need. Kirk has served as the Nettleton City Alderman at Large and Vice Mayor for seven terms and he also worked as the interim Mayor for three separate brief periods for the city of Nettleton. He has a daughter and a son who are both married and he is blessed with four grandchildren. He also has a son who is his angel as he passed away in 2009. His many years of experience and genuine compassion are treasured by Pickle Funeral Home.

  • Elissa Hart Middleton GC-C

    Elissa Hart Middleton GC-C, Certified Grief Counselor/ Funeral Associate

    Elissa is originally from Newbern, TN and has made her home in Amory, MS since 1978. She is one of very few Funeral Home Employees in the State of Mississippi who is a Licensed Grief Counselor. She received a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee, a Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Mississippi and additional course work for certification in Grief Counseling. She has worked at Pickle Funeral Home for 37 years. Elissa worked many years in the Monroe County School System until her retirement. She is also a licensed as a Pre Need Agent. She is always at the funeral home ready to help anyone. Her experience in counseling and serving the public is invaluable.

  • Mickey Miller

    Mickey Miller, Funeral Associate

    Mickey was born in Amory and grew up in Monroe County and graduated from Hatley, MS. He is a Funeral Associate for Pickle Funeral Home and treats each and every family with great compassion. Mickey is a Mississippi State University Graduate and he attended Delta State University and got his Masters Degree in Physical Education and School Administration. He worked many years as a coach, teacher and administrator at Hatley High School, Nettleton High School and Aberdeen High School. Mickey also worked as the Women's Basketball Coach at Delta State University where they won a National Championship. He is married to Sheila Kerr and they have three grown children and six grandsons. Pickle Funeral home is blessed to have such a great people person on staff.

  • Tony Summerford

    Tony Summerford, Funeral Associate

    Tony was born in Amory and has lived the majority of life in Smithville, MS. He is married to Mitzi Seals Summerford and together they have three sons. All their sons are married and they are blessed with five grandchildren, four boys and a girl. He is a Funeral Associate and has worked for Pickle Funeral Home in Smithville and Amory for over 24 years. He manages Smithville Funeral Home operations. He loves his community and always enjoys a good joke. Tony enjoys singing and playing guitar and just socializing with others. Pickle Funeral Home is grateful for his dedication over all these years.

  • Diane  Pickle

    Diane Pickle, Office Administration / Insurance

    Diane was born in Ohio and has lived in many states during her lifetime including California, Maryland, Montana, Tennessee, the District of Columbia, Ohio and Mississippi. She works in the office at the funeral home and helps with the insurance and accounts. Diane is married to Robert Pickle and they have 2 children and 3 foster children. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, a Minor in Aviation and a Minor in Accounting. She is a Mississippi Licensed Insurance Agent as well as a licensed Pre Need Agent.
